Coaching you from me…

I’m proud to say that I’ve been working as a personal coach since 2009.  I have been through a huge number of ups and downs personally in that time.  As well as having undergone a huge amount of personal learning, through training, reading and self reflection over the 12 years.  The last year or so having experienced the greatest amount of change, as I combined new motherhood, with a new way of global living!  The one thing that has remained constant throughout all of this, is that the way I coach naturally evolves.  It evolves as a reflection of the way that I am learning and growing myself.  Which is as it should be, hence the need for CPD in may professions! 

So what does it look like nowadays?

It’s always so difficult to put this into words, but here goes:

 My style is gentle and validating.  Allowing space for you to explore and understand any past hurts that are affecting you in the here and now, or present day pressures that make life feel hard. 

It is cleansing and awakening, allowing you to look at yourself and your life with fresh perspective, freedom from limitations and beliefs. 

It is encouraging and challenging ‘enough’ – so you can gently blossom and take further steps on your journey, for the sake of the steps as much as any possible outcome.   

What it is NOT:

– Endless digging into your past history, dredging up old memories, as if doing so will somehow free you of them.

– Reinforcing of personality types or other labels that you may have been given in the past by well-meaning others.

– Overwhelming you with new goals/challenges in the name of meeting your full potential. 

I am more than happy to have conversations about full potential, but this term is often used in such a way that it runs the risk of making people feel panicky that they aren’t living fully enough, when they might already be at full capacity and in need of slowing down and learning to “be”.
