How Life Coaching Works
Many think that a life coach will tell you how to live your life for the better. However, life coaching using the 3 Principles is different.
Your experience is your experience. It’s created from thought which is an inside-out experience. People who seek Life Coaching are usually looking for help making external changes to make themselves feel better. But that’s outside-in. This is the big misunderstanding. So rather than working with you on what you can change externally to feel content (and trust me, it’ll never be enough) 3 Principles Life Coaching is all about drawing out the contentment that is already present within you, when you let go of the contaminated thinking which stops you from feeling it.
You would usually be asked to fill in a short questionnaire before the first appointment so we can hit the ground running. We begin with a look at the 3 Principles of Mind, Consciousness and Thought and the part that they play in our experience. We will then look at how these principles affect the things that we noted in your questionnaire. During each session we would work through your thoughts, feelings and understanding of your experience. We’ll see what fresh thinking comes up for you. At the end of each appointment you will have made some self-discoveries, and you may have some actions to go away and work on before the next session if it’s appropriate.
Like most things, staying in the conversation means you get a better long term result, so it is recommended that a course of coaching is undergone. This helps you to generate momentum as you discover this new understanding and gives you the support on a longer term basis, as you can discuss any barriers you hit along the way. Sessions are completely confidential, and are mostly held at the Therapy Life Centre in Southend. Free, no obligation 20 minute phone consultations before we start.
