Breaking Free from the Status Quo
It’s become clear to me lately that so much of my own journey—and the coaching work I do—is really about one thing: breaking free.
Breaking free from conditioning.
Breaking free from limiting beliefs.
Breaking free from environments that suppress our joy.
Breaking free from habits that keep us small.
Breaking free from… the status quo.
That last one has been a lifelong theme for me, though I’m only just starting to fully realise how much it’s shaped my path.
At 24, I had my first major “break free” moment. I realised that the traditional 9-to-5 job simply wasn’t for me. I needed freedom, purpose, and autonomy. So I decided to go self-employed—without knowing anyone else who had done it, and with a whole heap of limiting beliefs to unpick along the way.
It was a huge leap. But once I made it, I quickly found others who were doing the same. That “brave” new way of working soon became my new normal.
Over time, I’ve made lots of similar leaps—often choosing paths that felt a bit strange or uncomfortable at first. But time and again, I’ve learned: if something feels off or too small for you, it probably is.

Years later, I reached another turning point. I realised that exchanging time for money—even doing work I loved—wasn’t going to be sustainable for the life I wanted to live. Especially once I became a parent. My time became more precious, and I needed to find ways to earn without constantly being “on.”
I experimented—products, memberships, evergreen content—but they all required significant creative energy and upfront investment. And I didn’t have unlimited reserves of either.
Then I came across a new way of doing business. One that aligned with my values, had the structure and support I needed, and offered a sustainable compensation model. A way to build recurring income while helping others grow.
At first, I didn’t believe it could work. Then, when I saw that it was working for others, my inner critic whispered, “Yes, but they can do it. You can’t.”
That was my edge. My discomfort. The belief that would quietly keep me locked in the status quo unless I was willing to confront it.
Because here’s the truth:
I want to create a legacy.
I want the space to care for myself and my family and make a meaningful contribution to the world.
And to do both, I need income—and time. Not just one or the other.
So here I am, unapologetically breaking free once again.
I’m now partnered with two aligned businesses that support this next evolution. They help generate revenue so I can continue growing, giving, and doing the transformational coaching work I’m here to do.
Because in the end, that’s what growth is all about, isn’t it?
Stepping out of the comfort zone, so we can discover the bigger, truer life waiting beyond it.
And if you’re standing at your own edge right now—feeling the pull to do things differently—I see you.
Maybe it’s time to break free too.
